We work together with employers, schools, training providers and councils to develop systems and projects that support delivery of quality Apprenticeships that meet the needs of the local economy.
Our Apprenticeships New Anglia Project has three distinct functions that work together to form a cohesive approach to “step up the efforts to promote and support the delivery of high-quality Apprenticeships” as highlighted in the New Anglia Economic Strategy.
Our partners, TrAC, an award winning, registered Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA), Lola Stafford Consulting Limited and, The Seckford Foundation who promote and support education in Suffolk will be working with us to deliver outcomes across New Anglia.
You will complement the existing team of 4 Apprentice Development Managers whose passion for supporting young people drives them to succeed, in fact 100% of young people who complete their apprenticeship with us progress into employment.
About the role
Apprentice Development Managers support participants and their managers in their host company placements. They provide or facilitate every aspect of the apprentice journey from induction to progression into work including training, assessment and reviewing performance. They address issues providing mediation and support where required. They can instigate personal performance plans where required.
Moore Networking is based at Building 262B, Scottow Enterprise Park, Lamas Road, Badersfield, Scottow, NR10 5FB although this is an agile role, so you can expect to be working from a variety of locations and sometimes form your home.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Identify new business opportunities with businesses that are already engaged or who have been allocated by the Business Development Manager.
Line management of a caseload of TrAC apprentices in placements which includes managing training providers and delivery, reviewing progress and managing completion and progression into work or further learning
Source suitable training for apprenticeships for TrAC apprentices and those delivered through other ANA packages.
Work with the Business Development Manager to ensure that candidates who receive conditional offers for Apprenticeships whilst in education have outcomes identified before their expected transition date.
To manage HR issues that occur with our staff whilst in placement and take action to prevent the breakdown of placements. Monitor caseload for out of trade risks and proactively develop new follow on placements where required to prevent periods of out of trade.
Support the delivery of all aspects of the TrAC and Apprenticeships New Anglia Service at all times to ensure an even distribution of work. This could include being asked to carry out tasks required by the project that are not covered elsewhere in this job description.
Ensure that the workplace is kept clean, tidy and sanitised. Portray a positive image of Moore Networking, Apprenticeships New Anglia and TrAC at all times.
Ensure the accurate recording of data, information and notes is maintained in a timely manner across all MNL and TrAC systems.
Qualifications and Skills
This job requires applicants to hold a full driving licence and have access to a motor vehicle.
An understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, equality and diversity and sustainability.
A qualification at level 3 or above.
Experience or a qualification in mentoring or a similar discipline.
Many of our apprentices work in the Construction industry. Knowledge or experience in this field would be an advantage.
