What will the apprentice be doing on site

We're looking for a someone to join a busy local company as a Business Administration apprentice.

The successful applicant will be working in a growing company that is involved in two distinct sectors, one property management and one electrical, overseeing the administration for both.
The successful candidate will undertake a L3 Business Administration apprenticeship
The role will include:

• Working with managing agent. Liaising with him to ensure everyone’s rent is on time and that properties are fully let.
• Ensuring when a property becomes empty that several agents are advertising it and checking up on them daily.
• General book keeping, paying and processing invoices and dealing with the accountants.
• Instructing builders, carpet fitters, plumbers, electricians etc when needed.
• Designing ways to make the company more efficient and directions for it to go in.
• New property investment viewings.
• Invoicing.
• Writing up quotes.
• Store room and stock takes.
• General book keeping, liaising with the accountants and dealing with the accounts.
• General administration

The apprentice will need

Good literacy and numeracy skills

What sort of candidate are you looking for

This role would suit someone who:
•Has an interest in learning the varied roles that will be asked of them.
•Has a, ”can do,” attitude and the ability to want to help develop the business.
•Has an interest in property management and the desire to progress into a management role
•Is able to work as part of a team but also independently

This role involves a large amount of property management, with the intention for the successful applicant to progress into a management role after their Apprenticeship. Applicants will need to passionate about this industry and have a wish to develop in this industry

Essential qualities

•A good grasp of IT and Microsoft Packages
•Ability to use email
•Good telephone manner

Computer literacy will be required. A knowledge of Microsoft packages is not as important as a willingness to learn as the business uses their own software package.

Desirable qualities

Ability to drive is advantageous, but not essential

Maths and English GCSE Grade C / Grade 4
